She was also a long-time volunteer with the Albemarle Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered for fifty years. At 106 years of age, Flora was alert and vibrant until the end of her life. What a jewel and how lucky am I to have been graced with her sweet presence with such a gracious attitude ! Always a positive but, also wondering why she has been so blessed? I think I know her secret…Always be kind to others. You couldn’t ask to be around such a nicer person. We so enjoyed our visits with her, and she would send us a hand-written thank you note. Born in Rison, AR on January 4, 1953 to the late Billy Cook and Verlene Madine Ball Cook Wilson, she was the wife of Clarence H. Robinson. Linda worked in Human Resources for a probation company.
She was always so nice to my family and to me. She was one of my Sunday School teachers and so active in the church. Mrs. Flora was a one of a kind Southern Lady. She touched so many lives during her life, knowing that she will no longer reside in her lovely home on earth, makes all of us so sad. Our special prayers and thoughts are with each of you.
She truly lived a life well lived and was blessed to see almost 11 decades of history in the world. I hope that your fond memories of her will comfort you in your time of sorrow.
